Ridges – The ridge of your roof can be a popular perching spot for both Seagull and Pigeons and the guano can cause a terrible unsightly mess on your roof.
The easiest solution for getting rid of pigeons is to install the appropriate bird spikes to the ridge. For half round ridges, standard spikes can be used, for triangular ridges there is a spike specifically for this. The spikes can be glued using silicone adhesive to avoid any need for drilling. An alternative is to use post & wire, however this is harder to install and can work out more expensive. The benefits of post and wire are that it is slightly less obtrusive, and can hardly been seen from ground level. For our range of products

Roofs - Flat roofs are an ideal nesting site for Seagulls, particularly when they are slightly sheltered from the wind. The only guaranteed way to prevent them from nesting is to install a netting system to provide a barrier so the birds cannot physically get to the roof.
This is done using a wire frame work, the netting is then lifted off the roof by steel work and zips can be installed if access to the roof will be required.
Installing a net is not easy if you have never done it before and we would recommend you ask us for a quotation where one of our professionals will do this for you. Please

For pitched roofs there is little that can be done. Occasionally netting can be installed to cover the whole roof however this is usually impractical. For advice on this please contact our customer service team.
